For far too long, insurance companies have sucked our money out of our pockets to be useless metaphorical vampires! The American People are fed up with this, and they absolutely are right to be! Wyatt Clark support a Single-Payer Healthcare System, which through our tax dollars would create a Nationalized Healthcare System that will prevent corporate profits from prioritizing Americans from getting the care they need! Let's be real, your level of care should be between you and your doctor, not an uneducated board member from your insurance company who wants to save a few bucks.
Some may be weary of this plan, and think it may limit freedom. But let me ask you, have you ever considered the freedom you are limited on through our current system? Within our current system, your health insurance chooses your doctor and if you can or cannot receive care, or what kind of care you can get, no matter how necessary it may be.
Some may ask about cost but I ask you, do you know how much our country is paying to subsidize private healthcare? According to a Yale study in 2020, a Single-Payer System such as Bernie Sanders' "Medicare for All", would actually save our Government $450 Billion. Even studies funded by the Koch Brothers have found that we may even save up to $2 Trillion. Personal costs are even better as well you would pay Medicare for All just like you do for Medicare, and Social Security right now, you wouldn't be paying for premiums and co-pays would be much cheaper.

Way too often, tragic and preventable incidents such as the 2018 Parkland Shooting happen. It feels as if we've had so many shootings within the past 10 years that it feels nearly impossible to keep up with them. But just becasue we can't keep up with these massacres, doesn't mean we shouldn't be doing whatever we can to prevent them!
Wyatt feels, often, we jump to extremes after terrifying moments of violence and despair. While Wyatt Clark is NOT in support of any sort of firearm ban, Wyatt does support Universal Background Checks and Mental Health Screenings.
It does not make sense that you would need a background check to purchase a firearm from a authorized retailer, but all someone has to do is go buy from a private dealer to avoid that. That seems like a very obvious and easy loophole to fix. If you're mentally okay to own a firearm, and do not have a felony, well what is the problem with getting a background check? Wyatt Clark is a gunowner, and passed his background check at Bass Pro Shop (Auburn Hills, Michigan) in 2022 with flying colors.
Many in America are being underpaid by their employers! Sadly, Republicans, such as my opponent John Rutherford, are uninterested in fixing this problem. According to a 2020 study, Walmart and McDonald's are the largest employers with employees on SNAP and Medicaid benefits. In 2020, the CEO of Walmart took home $26.9 Million, and the CEO of McDonald's took home $10.8 Million. Knowing this, Wyatt Clark finds it ridiculous that a CEO and Corporation could make so much money but underpay the employees so much that the employees have to go to the tax payers to survive. Essentially, the tax-payer is subsidizing these corporations to pay their employees too little to eat or afford medical care.
Wyatt Clark has several solutions in mind for this. One is a classic, raise the Federal Minimum Wage on a yearly basis with Inflation. Right now as of 2025, that would be about $17 hourly to account for all states. Another idea Wyatt has in mind is to create a tax on employers for every full-time employee under said employer that qualifies for SNAP benefits. 75% of the funds received should go back into SNAP and other social assistance programs to help continue funding them. The other 25% should go back into the employee in their tax refund, as a way to help get them financially stable.

Wyatt Clark believes politics shouldn't be a business endeavor, but a duty to help your fellow citizens! If elected, Wyatt intends to do whatever possible to help overturn the results of Citizens United v. FEC and get big money ouf of politics!
While Wyatt Clark believes in a strong border, he also believes in treating undocumented immigrants with respect, and care while they are in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Children should not be separated from families, and immigrants should be treated humanely while in custody of ICE.
Wyatt Clark is a very strong believer in a woman's bodily autonomy! Wyatt Clark supports Roe vs Wade, and would introduce legislation to codify abortion rights if elected to Congress. Wyatt is opposed to Florida's abortion ban after 6 weeks, and believes the cut off is far too early and harmful to women.
Wyatt Clark has always been a strong ally to LGBTQ+ dating back to his childhood and supports protecting their freedoms! He sees no reason for the state to impose on them, and believes in equality.
Wyatt Clark is a strong supported of taxpayer funded Universities and Community Colleges. In addition, Wyatt believes that attendance for these institutions should be free of charge, and any educational expenses regarding books to the student should be limited to $300 total.
Wyatt Clark is a big supporter of Free Speech, and believes every person on US Soil should have the right to it. This includes, protests against the United States Government or any of it's allies. There have been talks about deporting those who protest allies of ours, and I will do everything possible to prevent this! America is supposed to be the Land of The Free, not the Land of Our Allies Feelings.
